WINDFIREYOGA DEPTH INTENSIVE
THE DYNAMIC YOGA DEPTH INTENSIVE offers 95 hours of training over two weeks. It provides a deep exploration of the inherent intelligence of the human body and its expression as functional and structural integrity. In doing so it will permit you to establish your own self practice on the wisdom of your own body, in response to its own needs and capabilities without having to subscribe to received authority: no matter what your prefereed style of practice.
THE PRACTICAL CONTENT includes:a detailed exploration of over 150 yoga postures, 60 dynamic postural techniques (namaskar, ullola, vinyasa), 7 bandhas, 15 breathing techniques, 7 meditation techniques, their underlying mechanical principles, and their dynamic and inherent inter-relationships. They are taught in linked groups based on functional and structural similarities. All techniques will be practiced in a class format, and explored individually, in pairs and in groups. They will also be presented by a Trainer while being analysed in terms of action and impact.
THE THEORETICAL CONTENT includes: the universal principles underlying yoga practice; applied physiology; applied anatomy; functional biomechanics; the dynamics of integrity; the mechanical and energetic principles of yoga breathing; the mechanics, energetics and impacts of the bandhas.
The Depth Intensive offers an invaluable and indispensable basis for deepening and fertilising your practice on the basis of the inherent intelligence of the body. It is suitable for anyone, beginners to advanced, who wishes to clarify the depths and subtelties of yoga practice.
