Windfire Yoga Retreat Courses
All students must begin with the FOUNDATION COURSE, unless allready comitted to ongoing selfpractice in which case you may attend the self practice week without attending the Foundation Course. However the three modules of the Foundation Course can be taken in any order and any number of times.
Using movement to sensitise the body and awaken the mind, our Yoga Retreat Courses are simultaneously gentle, accessible, invigorating and calming. Our Yoga Retreat classes proceed as a slow paced vinyasa flow allowing postures to be prepared for safely, and established effectively while simultaneously clarifying the body's underlying principles of action, movement and integration. While the emphasis of our Yoga Retreats is not overtly therapeutic, many students find that the integrity and precision of the internal dynamic of the bandhas applied in the whole body has a healing effect on injuries and problems. If you have an existing injury please be sure to let us know.
THE DYNAMIC YOGA FOUNDATION COURSE includes the Method, Dynamic and Integration modules. These three modules ground you in the yoga method, giving you the keys to establishing functional, structural and energetic integration. Each course uses the step by step progression of vinyasa krama to create a dynamic flow of action, awareness and assimilation.
THE DYNAMIC YOGA INTERMEDIATE TRAINING COURSE includes the Form, Practice and Self Practice modules. These three modules allow you to establish a safe and effective self practice, based on the Primary and Secondary Series of Dynamic Yoga.
THE DYNAMIC YOGA ADVANCED TRAINING COURSES includes the Solo retreat, Depth Intensive, Pranyama Intensive and the Meditation Intensive. They provide a deep and practical exploration of yoga postures, vinyasa flow, breathing and meditation techniques.
YOGA TEACHER TRAINING we offer a number of possibilities: residential and nonresidential.
YOGA APPRENTICESHIPS are for anyone wishing to immerse themselves totally in a life of yoga in a non dogmatic setting.
All our yoga retreat classes are given within the fertilising context of patanjali’s ashtanga yoga, and link yoga postures together into a vinyasa flow of dynamic yoga practice ending with stillness in savasana and sitting, thereby balancing the 'yin' and 'yang' elements of traditional hatha yoga. All morning classes include guided pranayama and meditation.
